ITY™ Configurations

Interpretype can be configured to operate in a variety of combinations. Each ITY device communicates through a proprietary serial connection. This ensures conversations are extremely secure. They are powered by either rechargeable batteries or a standard power outlet. The two possible peer to peer configurations are shown below:

ITY™ to ITY™ (battery powered)


ITY™ to ITY™ (with AC adapter)

Interpretype can also be connected directly to a PC running the Interpretype communication software. This allows one person to use his/her workstation while the other person uses the ITY™ device. While connected to a PC, conversations can be saved and printed. The ITY device is connected to a PC by proprietary cable with a DB9 connector for the PC. The ITY™ Windows software will accommodate an approved USB adapter plugged into this cable. The two possible PC configurations are shown below:
